The San Antonio Spurs Hemisfair City Edition jersey and court were created in collab with Nike and the NBA. The set debuted for the 2023-24 season and returned for the 2024-25 season, paying homage to the 1968 World’s Fair (HemisFair '68) and the vibrant culture of late-1960s San Antonio.

The world gathered for Hemisfair under a tower raised to celebrate global connection and growth. This landscape of wonder, fantasy, and entertainment dawned an iconic new chapter in the city’s 250th year old history. This season, City Edition tells a story set in midcentury modern and the colorful threads of its many cultures.

The Research and Inspiration

Huls spent months researching the Hemisfair era at the UTSA Library. He listened to opening-day audio clips, explored historic local neighborhoods, and analyzed the original 1968 attractions, textiles, and color palettes. The breakthrough for the custom typography and core elements came from a packet of original 1968 World's Fair memorabilia.
